WarHorses for Heroes

WarHorses for Heroes' mission is to ensure that there is help waiting for veterans and active-duty military members when they return to the Mid-South.  We assist them in thriving in their communities by providing hands-on support for the wounded, ill, and injured.

WarHorses for Heroes offers equine-assisted therapy programs to help veterans with service-related mental or physical traumas. Participants learn how to safely lead, groom, and ride while developing new roles and relationships with the horses and their community. Perspectives gained through our free program allows them to process their experiences in a new way and can accelerate their healing process. All sessions are led with a PATH certified instructor and a therapist to make our participants' time at the barn as beneficial as possible.
