Shelby County Health Department Environmental Health Services and Sustainability

This project aims to address three critical issues: Tire pollution: Discarded tires are a major environmental concern, taking hundreds of years to decompose and posing health risks. Unsustainable waste management: Traditional waste disposal methods have a significant environmental impact. Recycling tires offers a more sustainable alternative. Vector control: Tires can collect standing water, creating breeding grounds for mosquitoes and other disease-carrying insects. Proper recycling helps prevent these vectors and protect public health.
