Description

Hey #Bucs

On December 7, 2024, the 10th Annual Memphis LIVE will continue its legacy of raising awareness about breast cancer and addressing health disparities impacting Black women and women of color in Memphis and Shelby County. This milestone year marks a significant shift in focus, centering community care and the lived experiences of survivors while addressing broader public health issues through a lens of equity and inclusion.

The event, rooted in its rich tradition, is designed as a community-centered gathering that brings together health experts, community members, and local organizations to foster dialogue, celebrate resilience, and promote ongoing engagement. Attendees will experience an immersive program aimed at connecting individuals to resources and planting seeds for long-term support and change.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Community-Centered Care: Breakout sessions focused on the lived experiences of survivors, creating space for authentic conversations and actionable solutions.
  • Creative Advocacy: Performances by Keeping It P, using poetry and music to amplify themes and stories emerging from the breakout rooms, showcasing the power of art in public health advocacy.
  • Collaboration: Insights from health experts, survivors, and community-based organizations working together to address disparities and improve outcomes.

So join us on Dec. 7th at Centenary United Methodist Church beginning at 10 AM and RSVP via this link (https://secure.everyaction.com/Fzxyx5Ov3k61Vr7bJjGf_w2)!

We look forward to seeing you there and be sure to share with others! #GoBucs
