"Where is Your Brother/ Where is Your Sister" - with Brown Missionary Baptist Church Senior Pastor, Dr. Bartholomew Orr

To further the conversations and community cohesion in reference to the Memphis Reads 2023 selection, "His Name is George Floyd", we invite you on Sept. 21st, 2023 to join us in Spain Auditorium (Buckman Hall) from 11 AM - 12:30 PM for "Where is Your Brother, Where is Your Sister?"

Dr. Bartholomew Orr (Sr. Pastor of Brown Missionary Baptist Church) will be hosting a communal approach to the chosen Memphis Reads 2023 literature selection of "His Name is George Floyd" and how self-preservation, as well as care for others within the community, is key to creating cohesion, healing, and generational accountability.

Pastor Orr is committed to serving the Mid-South and beyond through community revitalization, wholistic ministry, and spiritual transformation. He currently serves on the boards of Mission Increase, an organization designed to equip Memphis' nonprofits to take their needed services to the next level and Mid-South Genesis Community Development Corporation, an organization committed to improving the community of Memphis through building stronger families and economic development.
