Needs From: Volunteer Memphis

Help bring history to life as a docent guide at the Mallory- Neely Home located in the Victorian Village Historic District. The Mallory-Neely Home is one of Memphis' treasured historic sites. It is all the more special in that it retains all of the original historic interiors, furniture, and artifacts almost exclusively.

As a guide in this wonderful home, you will offer visitors up close and personal experiences while walking through the home. You will give visitors a glimpse into the lives of a family from over hundred years ago.  Docents will conduct tours and give accurate information on the home and its occupants.  Docents will also assist with special events and serve as a link between the community and guests to the home. Docents must commitment to 4 hours a month on Fridays or Saturdays for one year.  Preferred skills are individuals with a desire to work with the public and an interest in history. Volunteers needed for Thursday, August 20, 2026

1:30pm-5:00pm

Become a Pink Palace Museum Learning Docent and dive into an exciting journey of discovery at the Pink Palace Museum. Our Learning Docents help to preserve local history and stories and ignite a passion for learning for people of all ages through hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and discovery tables. 

                             Docents must be 16 years and over to volunteer.

This is a great community service opportunity for companies, groups, TnAchieves students, school community services hours, and lifelong long learners.
