Looking for a way to spend some time outdoors while helping to improve our riverfront? The Memphis River Parks Partnership is launching the Riverfront Clean Team volunteering group to give Memphians that chance. The Clean Team will spend the last Saturday of every month volunteering in our parks all across the riverfront. Working alongside Memphis River Parks Partnership park rangers and staff members, the Clean Team will help with gardening, trash pickup and general park maintenance.
The first Clean Team volunteering opportunity will be next Saturday, July 25th. We’ll be cleaning the Cobblestone landing from 8:00am-10:00am. In keeping with the COVID guidelines of the city, we’re only accepting 15 people for this particular volunteer event but will change as the guidance changes. We wanted to give the Ambassadors the first chance to join before we open the list to the public. We’ll provide the equipment; all you have to do is show up!
