JA in a Day is a one-day presentation in partnership with local elementary schools and community volunteers who utilize our economic-based curriculum to demonstrate the relevance between what students are learning in school and the real world.
Volunteers will need to arrive by 8:15am for the training session on-site at the school prior to the event where classroom materials and classroom assignments will be provided. On the day of the event, volunteers conduct the lessons in the assigned classroom. Students will escort volunteers to their assigned classroom at 9:00 am.
We ask that volunteers dress comfortably as you will be standing and interacting with your students. Organization or company shirts are welcomed. Volunteers will receive lunch, however, if you have any dietary restrictions, you may prefer to provide your lunch.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and are required to complete a background check before the day of the event. Following registration, a background screen link will be sent via email. If not completed, the volunteer will be unable to volunteer. If you are bilingual or multilingual, please note the languages spoken in the notes section.
