JA Entrepreneurial Mindset Subject Matter Experts, a one-semester teacher-led course, introduces high school students to the basics of starting a business, including developing entrepreneurial abilities, identifying a business opportunity, creating a business plan, economics, and the stages of business growth. The volunteer is asked to visit the class 5 times over the course of the semester to provide their expertise on the course topic by listening to student presentations and giving feedback on the course case study.
Volunteers will need to arrive at the school and check in at the main office 15 minutes prior to the start time. We ask that volunteers wear comfortable shoes as you will be standing and interacting with your students; organization or company shirts are welcome. This 1 hour volunteer opportunity requires a total of 5 dates. The start date and time are Monday, September 11 at 12:15pm. The remaining four dates are scheduled according to the volunteer's availability.
Suggested age of volunteers is at least 25 years old, and are required to complete a background check before the day of the event. Following registration, a background screening link and required documents to review and sign will be sent via email. If not completed, the volunteer will be unable to volunteer.
