In JA Career Speaker Series, a volunteer guest speaker visits the classroom and shares information about his or her career, work, and education experience. The speaker may bring props, samples of his or her work, or other visuals to help engage students. This volunteer opportunity is for 1 hour on Monday, September 11 at 10:00am. We are specifically interested in a speaker from the education, finance, IT or marketing fields and are able to change the date and time if needed.
Volunteer guest speakers will need to arrive at the school and check in at the main office 15 minutes prior to the start time. We ask that volunteers wear comfortable shoes as you will be standing and interacting with your students; organization or company shirts are welcome.
Suggested age of volunteers is at least 25 years old. Volunteers are required to complete a background check before the day of the event. Following registration, a background screen link and required documents for review and signature will be sent via email. If not completed, the volunteer will be unable to volunteer. If you are bilingual or multilingual, please note the language(s) spoken.
