We hope you can join us for a special volunteer Community Day at Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Honoring National Senior Citizen's Day, Community Day will kick off our 100th anniversary celebrations, focusing on the people we serve: our residents! We will have many volunteer opportunities to choose from. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jasmine Williams, jwilliams@memphisjewishhome.org.
Gardening: Help us replant flower boxes, paint rocks to decorate the campus, and touch up the gardens.
Games: Assist residents with playing bingo, Family Feud, Jeopardy, and Price Is Right.
Archives: Review MJHR’s Archives, searching for stories and facts to be highlighted for the 100th anniversary.
Memory Lane: Assist residents with a special art project: making a memory book keepsake!
Resident Parade (12pm-2pm): Be paired up with a resident to dress up and decorate their wheelchair for a joyful campus-wide parade at the end of the day.
Community Celebration (2pm): As a special thank you for your service, join us at the end of the day for live music and a party in the auditorium!
