Thanks to our partners with Junior Achievement, we now have some amazing opportunities to serve our younger youth via Biz-Town! For those unfamiliar with it, please see the short description below:
"JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world."
Volunteers are encouraged to come often and work with grades K - 8 for this program. Volunteers will also earn 5 hours of service for this event, as well as other related service opportunities similar to this.
To earn credit within this platform and for your CBU User Profile, please respond to this service need. Then, complete the volunteer registration below. *Note: Due to working with underage youth, volunteers are also asked to complete a preliminary background check as well.
