Art has a unique way of helping children communicate, build confidence, and develop meaningful connections. As a Creative workshop leader, you'll encourage refugee and immigrant youth through engaging art activities while creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where every child feels seen and valued.
Whether you're an experienced artist or simply enjoy working with children, your presence can make a lasting impact.
What You'll Do
- Support weekly creative arts workshops for youth ages 10–14.
- Encourage participation and build positive relationships with students.
- Help facilitate activities alongside the lead instructor.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
- Lead small-group conversations and encourage creativity.
- Assist with classroom setup and cleanup.
Optional Opportunity
- Lead a 30–40 minute art activity or creative project based on your interests and skills.

No formal art experience is required—just a willingness to encourage and connect with young people.
Time Commitment
- When: Wednesdays, July 15 – September 23
- Time: 5:00–7:00 PM
- Commitment: Approximately 3–4 hours each week (including setup and cleanup)

We'll provide everything you need to feel prepared and supported before your first workshop.
