Spanish Speakers for "Welcome To The USA" Workshops

We have a volunteer opportunity for Spanish speakers coming up on February 21st and 23rd. Our staff will be leading full-day "Welcome to the USA" workshops for 25 of our clients who have recently arrived in Memphis. Each topic is meant to help our clients adjust to life in Memphis and will be staff-led, with roundtable discussion. We would like Spanish-speaking volunteers to facilitate the roundtable discussion and help with transportation at the beginning and end of the day. This is the agenda for the days:

 

9:00 – 10:45 am - Cultural Orientation

11:00 am – 12:30 pm - Health and Insurance 

             12:30 – 1:00 pm      Lunch

1:00 – 2:45 pm - Job Readiness Orientation

3:00- 4:00 pm - Digital Literacy/ ESL USALEARNS enrollment

*You do not need to stay the whole day

Would you like to volunteer for any of the roundtable discussions or as a driver to transport clients to or from our office? Please let me know by February 16^th if you would like to help, as there will be some onboarding steps that we ask you to do beforehand.
