Rock the Block brings together residents, municipalities and community partners to complete exterior home repairs for low-income homeowners. These projects improve and beautify neighborhoods, increase property values and have a ripple effect on all homes in targeted neighborhoods. Our Rock the Block program works on both residential and community-based projects providing affordable repairs including painting, landscaping, and cleaning up.
Volunteers will work with residents in the Uptown community to:
- Paint Up: Complete light, exterior painting.
- Fix Up: Complete light landscaping, weed eating, grass cutting as well as installing ornamental shrubs and plants.
- Clean Up: Removing trash and debris from yards and streets.
Thanks to you a lot can change in only one day!
Volunteers are asked to dress comfortably. Please note that all children under the age of 16 must accompanied by a parent.
