Volunteer: Rising Dream Keepers Middle/High Volunteers NeededVolunteers will build support after-school programming and build lasting bonds with middle and high school students in grades 6 through 12. RDK programming will offer academic skill building, college and career readiness, cultural acclimation support, trauma resilience, mentorship, artistic expression, leadership development, and more! Programming will be from Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm; all materials will be provided, and REP staff will always be on site. Volunteers also have the opportunity to become STARS literacy coaches! Why: Newcomer students are eager to learn English and excel in the classroom. Providing one-on-one support helps them become and remain active, engaged students. We ask for a consistent weekly or monthly commitment, but volunteers have the flexibility to set their own schedules any time between Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Fridays from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
