Needs From: Volunteer Memphis

Healing the Mid-South is seeking skilled volunteers to assist with a spring landscaping workday at RTC Gardens. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals with landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance experience who are comfortable using yard tools and assisting with garden preparation.

Our goal is to prepare the garden for the upcoming spring planting season while continuing to improve the space for community use.

Volunteer Tasks May Include:

Light tilling of garden beds

Cutting small trees or branches (chainsaw experience preferred)

Edging and trimming around garden areas

General landscape cleanup and beautification

Preparing garden for spring planting

Plant seeds and seedlings according to the seasonal planting plan.

2. Sow seeds and transplant seedlings into designated beds.
Label plants for easy identification.
Water freshly planted crops.

3. Cleanup
Post-setup cleaning
Collect and organize tools.
Remove leftover debris.
