Who We Are
ARISE2Read is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting early childhood literacy. Through one-to-one connections with students, ARISE2Read seeks to improve literacy skills, provide faith based support, and work together to make our community a place where every child is literate, feels valued, and can realize their God-given potential.
What We Do
ARISE2Read collaborates with local school districts to pinpoint 2nd-grade students who are at risk of reading failure. By teaming up with local community members, businesses, and faith-based organizations, we recruit and train volunteers to serve 1 hour a week. During this hour, volunteers engage with 2 students, spending 30 minutes with each, to enhance their fundamental reading skills. The consistent interaction with the same students fosters strong, positive connections, boosting the student's confidence and their motivation to read.
