Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & the Mid-South

THE DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION OF MEMPHIS AND THE MID-SOUTH IS A 501 (C) 3 ORGANIZATION THAT PROMOTES THE INCLUSION OF ALL PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME BY PROVIDING FAMILIES AND OUR COMMUNITIES WITH UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION AND EDUCATION. TO THAT SAME END, WE STRIVE TO FOSTER POSITIVE ATTITUDES AND ENHANCE PUBLIC AWARENESS WITHIN OUR SOCIETY OF THE INHERENT WORTH, VALUE AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME.

Our biggest fund raiser/advocacy event is our Step Up for Down Syndrome.  This year it will be at Bert Ferguson Park on October 23rd.  We are always in need of volunteers!  Please contact us if you can help!

We support individuals with Down Syndrome. We do fundraising to provide activities such as a reading camp, iCan Bike Camp, and community activities. We also have self advocacy programs and we support inclusion within the school system.
