Memphis Medical District Collaborative

The Memphis Medical District Collaborative (MMDC) is a community development organization working with anchor institutions to strengthen the connections, communities, and campuses in the Memphis Medical District so they are more vibrant, prosperous, and equitable.

The Memphis Medical District Collaborative (MMDC) works each day to make the Medical District more vibrant, prosperous, and equitable. MMDC provides services for Medical District business owners, residents, students, employees, community stakeholders, and property owners to: - Grow their business with access to resources and available properties, business planning and support, property improvement grants, and buyer-supplier matchmaking connections through Buy Local. - Invest and develop with real estate development support, pre-development grants and capital funds, and access to market studies. - Live and work in the District by connecting residents to healthcare or living-wage employment opportunities, housing incentives, and a Groove On-Demand ride service in partnership with MATA and the Downtown Memphis Commission. - Enhance and activate the District with the help of MMDC’s clean and green ambassadors, streetscape and public space improvements, pedestrian safety advocacy, and community programming and event sponsorships.
