Who We Are
The Memphis Farmers Market is a weekly, non-profit outdoor marketplace featuring local farmers and artisans. The market showcases locally sourced produce and food items, as well as locally produced kitchen and garden arts and crafts from the Mid-South region. The market strives to educate the community about eating local, nutrition and food choices.
What We Do
Volunteering at the Memphis Farmers Market Downtown is a fun, interactive way to give back to our community by supporting local farmers, producers, and artisans, while educating market visitors about healthy eating habits, good nutrition, and the benefits of “eating fresh and local.”
Volunteers are essential to the success of Memphis Farmers Market operations, events, and stellar customer service. We depend on our volunteers on so many levels to help provide the best market experience possible! Whether you’re interested in serving on a committee to plow some fun on the farm, or you want to roll up your sleeves and “dig in the dirt” on market-day Saturdays, the Memphis Farmers Market has the perfect field to plant you in!
