Description

Greetings,

On behalf of the Education Equal Opportunity Group (EEOG), we are thrilled to formally invite you to partner with us for the Annual Career Speed Networking Program (CSNP), which will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the University of Memphis.

Our guiding theme, "Talent is Everywhere, Opportunity Is Not," underscores our dedication to empowering underserved students by providing them with resources, mentorship, and professional exposure to help them thrive. How You Can Make an Impact: We seek professional volunteers to serve as mock interviewers for students, providing them with invaluable guidance on career readiness.

Here's how you can help: Volunteer for Mock Interviews: Dedicate just two hours (9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.) to mentoring students through one-on-one interviews. Your participation will give students essential insights into career paths and invaluable real-world interview experience. Engage Your Team: We welcome ten (10) of your colleagues to participate as mock interviewers, creating a broader and more impactful experience for the students. Sponsor Student Participation: A $5,000 sponsorship supports key aspects of student engagement, such as campus visits, meals, workshops, transportation, and materials. Showcase Your Industry: Host a display table to introduce students to career opportunities in your field and beyond, connecting them to resources they may not otherwise encounter. The Mock Interview Process: During the CSNP, business professionals will engage with students in structured one-on-one interviews to build confidence and practical skills. Format: Professionals are seated in designated interview stations, and students rotate through the sessions. Each interview lasts 3 minutes. After one rotation, students transition to the next station, ensuring diverse interactions between students and interviewers. Structure of Each Interview:30 Seconds: Student introductions, including their elevator pitch.2 Minutes: A brief Q&A where students ask about career paths, qualifications, and professional experiences.30 Seconds: Feedback from the professional interviewer, offering constructive insights and encouragement.Sample Questions Students May Ask: What inspired you to pursue your current career? What qualifications or skills are essential in your field?Event Details:
