Description

Celebrate Earth Day with Shelby Farms Park at a Weed Wrangle for Chinese Privet! The Chinese Privet is a dominant, nonnative shrub, and the most significant invasive plant species in the park.

Volunteers are needed to help with clearing out wooded areas of Chinese Privet, digging up roots balls and piling up the cuttings for future disposal. Once privet is cleared, SFPC will be able to plant native species to help increase competition against Chinese Privet .
