On October 20, UCAN of Memphis and Confident Girls Mentoring Program, Inc from Buffalo, NY will be hosting an outside festivity for grades 2-5 from 12 pm -3 pm. We are in need of the following:
2- volunteers for face painters
2 - food volunteers to handle popcorn and hotdogs
2 - volunteers to monitor children at the bouncer and games
2 - volunteers to assist with swag gifts and t-shirts
*National Youth Appreciation Day is celebrated on October 20 of every year. It’s a day to celebrate the potential of young people, their accomplishments, energy, and spirit. The aim is to instill confidence into them and continue to help them grow into successful adults. This day was created by Tiffany R. Lewis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Confident Girl Mentoring Program. It is a nonprofit organization that utilizes evidence-based interventions to empower and build confidence in young girls aged seven to 19. They aim to embody developmental strategies and workshops that take students on a journey of self-discovery and development in those who may otherwise feel marginalized.
