"The Social Justice Ministry of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church is planning a "Meet the
Candidates Night" for the Memphis Mayoral Election at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church,
70 E. Bellevue Blvd., Midtown, on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. CST. We invite
students and employees of Christian Brothers University to participate in our event by
submitting questions for the candidates and attending. Everyone can register for the free event
and submit questions by scanning the QR code within the flyer or texting "Forum" to 901-390-9661.
However, we especially want to motivate students to participate and would appreciate your
advice on how best to involve them.
The Social Justice Ministry works to educate Memphians to advance a vision for the
transformation of society to eliminate disparities. Everyone deserves equal economic, political,
and social rights and opportunities. We believe equity is the vehicle for transformation. We
hope this candidate event will educate the public, motivate voters to participate in the election,
and give voters a chance to hear the candidates' views. We look forward to hearing from you and for your participation in this event."
