Hey #Bucs and Friends,
Volunteers recently teamed up to clean up the site of the former Southwest Twin Drive In, which is now under city ownership and is a blank canvas for future developments that can serve the neighborhood and greater community. There has been overwhelming interest in the current effort to activate the site with pop-up events planned by neighbors, groups, and government — and the first event has already taken shape! The first party at the Southwest Twin on Saturday, July 29 from 4-8 pm. All ages are invited to celebrate and come together before school starts. You’ll get to see everything from live music and the Shell on Wheels mobile concert experience to a mural unveiling and car show. Food trucks, touch a truck, bounce houses, and even a community expo with hiring opportunities and resources will be on display. See attached flyer— Please share it!Looking to volunteer on event day? There is always a need for folks to help guide parking and greet attendees, set up and tear down, and make this an awesome experience for all. Sign up to volunteer here.
If you aren’t already, follow along on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more updates.
We'll see you there, and as always, #GoBucs!!!
