Be a litter getter!
Kick off our 2025 goal of picking up 2,025 pieces of litter every month during MLK Days of Service weekend at Shelby Farms Park! Help us pick up 2,025 pieces of litter each month in 2025 using Litterati. Our goal is to pick up 25,000 pieces by the end of the year.
Start this challenge during MLK Days of Service weekend, January 18- 20, 2025, from 10am- 4pm.
Volunteers: Please arrive at the First Horizon Visitor Center at the beginning of your shift to pick up your trash bags and gloves. Our Front Desk Ambassadors will suggest a trail for you to help clean up and help you set up your Litterati app, if you haven't already.
Using the Litterati app enables us to capture more litter pollution data, create better prevention strategies, and allows you to track your impact! Litterati is powered by machine learning and geotagging technology, enabling us to better identify litter, determine trends, and create more effective prevention tactics.

2. Download the FREE Literati- Cleaning The Earth app to join the event
3. Follow the prompts in the app and add your name and email address.
4. Use code "JAN2025" to join the event in the Litterati app.
PRO TIPS
Litterati uses a camera within the app to document the litter as you pick it up. It's easier to use a buddy system when using the app- one person picks up the litter and other documents its in the app.
