Healing the MidSouth is looking for a volunteer plumber or handyman to help us bring affordable, functional water access to our garden space.
The Situation: We currently have no irrigation on-site, but we do have a water meter located directly beside the garden. We're exploring the most cost-effective way to connect to this source for regular garden use, since this will become a monthly utility expense for our nonprofit.
What We're Looking For: Advice or assistance planning/installing a simple, low-cost water hookup Possibly installing a spigot or hose bib connected to the meter. Recommendations on sustainable watering solutions (e.g., drip irrigation, rain barrels, etc.) We do have a rain barrel currently but when there is a drought of rain water that's an issue.
