This gathering brings together community members to explore the concept and possibilities of cooperatives in Memphis by highlighting existing co-op models and shared learning. We’re seeking volunteers to help support this dynamic, participatory experience, one that asks the timely questions: Why co-ops, and why now? Together, we’ll examine how community can serve as a powerful economic driver, drawing lessons from past generations and exploring how cooperative economics can thrive today. Volunteers will play a key role in supporting breakout groups, assisting facilitators, helping manage time and materials, and ensuring small-group discussions run smoothly. f you’re passionate about community-led solutions, economic justice, and hands-on learning, we invite you to volunteer and help make this collaborative experience impactful and engaging.
