Transportation can be one of the biggest barriers to building a new life. As a Road Runner Transportation Volunteer, you'll provide safe, reliable rides that help refugee and immigrant families access essential appointments, employment opportunities, educational programs, and other important community resources.
Something as simple as offering a ride can make the difference between missing an opportunity and taking the next step toward stability and independence.
What You'll Do
Transportation requests vary based on community needs and may include:
- Driving clients to medical, school, or community appointments.
- Providing transportation to English classes and educational programs.
- Helping clients access employment interviews, job training, or community services.
- Offering a welcoming and friendly experience during each ride.
- Communicating with World Relief staff regarding scheduled transportation requests.

Time Commitment
Transportation opportunities are available throughout the week and are scheduled based on volunteer availability and client needs. You choose the rides that fit your schedule.

Volunteer Onboarding
Before serving, all volunteers complete our onboarding process, which includes:
- Volunteer application
- Online orientation and training
- Background check
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
We'll equip you with everything you need to confidently serve as part of our Road Runner team.
