Hello Volunteers! We would like to take a moment and thank you for registering for MLK Day of Service 2022. This year, Klondike-Smokey City CDC is seeking volunteers to assist with cleanup efforts. This is a very proud community and with your help, they can keep it clean and green.
Please wear warm, functional clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required. We are asking volunteers to bring their own water as a safety precaution and to limit waste. All gloves, bags, tools, and supplies will be provided by Memphis City Beautiful. In the event of inclement weather, the event may be postponed or cancelled. Thank you in advance and we look forward to serving with you!
Masks are strongly suggested. Please practice social distancing when possible. Any children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone.
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
In the event of inclement weather, an alternate project date will be released prior to the event.
