Make a Difference Day, created 30 years ago by our partner Points of Light, is the largest national day of community service in the country and is a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.
Volunteer Memphis has taken this a step further with our annual Make a Difference Week Monday, October 17th through Friday, October 21st; Make a Difference Week provides free, age-appropriate financial literacy classes, primarily to middle and high school students at various schools throughout Memphis. Presenters from Regions, Young Wall Street, the Shelby County Trustee’s Office, EPI Center, Mortgage Investors Group, Advance Memphis and sponsor Truist Bank will empower and inform students to strategically manage, save and invest their money that they may not otherwise know.
We need volunteers to make this happen! Volunteers will help the presenter set up, pass out materials to student, assist with technology, and supervise the presentation.
