JA Finance Park is an innovation in experiential education designed to engage 7th grade students for life and work in the real world from goal setting to saving, budgeting, shopping, and bill paying, students experience what it takes to successfully navigate today’s complex economy and they come face to face with how their decisions today can impact their future.
Volunteers will need to arrive by 8:15 am for a short training and children will arrive by 9:00 am. The simulation will end by 2:00 pm. Volunteers will oversee and assist a small group of students. This is the culmination of a 12-lesson JA curriculum taught in the classroom prior to the day's simulation. We ask that volunteers dress comfortably as you will be standing and interacting with your students; organization or company shirts are welcomed. Volunteers will receive lunch, however, if you have any dietary restrictions, you may prefer to provide your lunch.
Please note that volunteers are required to complete a background check before the day of, and if not will be unable to volunteer; following registration a staff member will send a background screening link via email, free of cost. Additionally, we ask that volunteers be at least 18yo.
