VOLUNTEER IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Tucked away in the heart of metropolitan Memphis, Lichterman Nature Center brings nature to life with exciting exhibits, native wildflowers and trees, and a tradition of excellence in environmental education set in the midst of 65 acres of lake, meadow, and forest.
Enjoy the natural wonders of Lichterman Nature Center and help keep the trails accessible at the same time! Help remove weeds, alien privet plants and debris from sections of pebbled trails that wind through three miles of wooded wonderland. This volunteer opportunity will help maintain the grounds at Lichterman Nature Center and make sure all of the trails are safe for guests and students.
This is a great opportunity for company teams and high school students to volunteer. Gloves and tools will be provided. Volunteers must be 15 years and older. The volunteer opportunities will take place rain or shine.
For more information about volunteering or to have your name added to the volunteer list, please contact Janie Best Paraham at janie.paraham@memphistn.gov or 901-636-2438.
