Volunteer Memphis MLK Days of Service is a week-long service event taking place Thursday, January 11 to Monday, January 15 encouraging the City of Memphis to Care Like King and Saturday, January 13 is all about providing health and wellness services to the community.
This year we will be at two locations, the Orange Mound Community Center and the Hollywood Community Center. This volunteer need is specifically for the Orange Mound Community Center Saturday, January 13 from 8:30am to 12:30pm. This event will happen rain or shine, please wear comfortable clothing dependent on the weather. Volunteers will receive a free shirt at the event to wear during.
Volunteers will be setting up and tearing down which includes relocating pallets of food, sorting and setting up the different food distribution areas, distributing the food itself, handing out and receiving client forms, cleaning up throughout the event, guest engagement, vendor service as well as traffic control.
