We invite you to join Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC) in our Clean Up, Drive Through, Drop Off, Recycling Roundup. Support our efforts as we work to keep materials that can be recycled out of our landfills and off our streets. We will collect recyclable materials ranging from mattresses, tires, textiles, blocks of Styrofoam, and other hard-to-recycle materials.
Help us reduce our waste and bring a reusable water bottle! Please consider bringing a chair if you want to sit at your station. TEC will provide the necessary gloves, safety vests, and safety glasses.
Lunch will also be provided and water in a large Igloo will be available.
Tasks: Helping with event setup, directing the flow of event traffic, collecting, unloading, and sorting materials from attendees, surveying attendees, and passing out educational materials.
Attire: Volunteers should dress appropriately for their volunteer position so that they can fulfill their duty safely and comfortably. We recommend wearing closed-toed, comfortable shoes and would appreciate it if all volunteers would refrain from wearing anything that displays obscene language or offensive material while representing our organization. Please dress accordingly.
