Volunteer Memphis, each year, commemorates the anniversary of the tragic September 11th attacks by celebrating, recognizing, and honoring our Mid-South firefighters. During this day of service, Volunteer Memphis, along with community partners and sponsors will provide meals to almost 800 firefighters across the Greater Memphis Area including Bartlett, Germantown, Collierville and Memphis itself.
This commemorative effort will take place Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 and includes the following:
- Volunteer Rally at the Benjamin L. Hooks Library
- 09/11 Lunch and Honor Hour at assigned fire station
Volunteers will be needed between 9:30am and 12:00pm to help coordinate our drive-through pick up, pass out shirts and certificates of appreciation to assigned volunteer teams.
Volunteers will receive a complimentary shirt for their efforts and are encouraged to dress comfortably.
